Overview

This 9 Day Safari to Africa Wilderness is meant to provide an absolute excitement to ones that embark on it. We shall spend our safari days in the diverse cultures and habitats of the best National Parks searching and enjoying the raw wilderness to the fullest. 

 

Coming close to the wildlife in their natural habitat with in-depth interpretation from your guide. Spend your nights in stylish safari lodges under the star-lit skies of the savannahs. Drive to Lake Eyasi for an up- close and personal encounter with the Bushmen.

Upon arrival at the Airport, you will be met by our representative. After meet and greet you will be transferred to your hotel where you will rest and have a short pre-safari briefing from your Guide.

Have your breakfast early in the morning.  A drive to Tarangire National Park will follow soon after. Upon arrival you shall check in with the park authorities. At the gate, birds litter the place. Your appreciation of the natural world starts here. We then buckle up in our 4*4 and start driving in the park. Elephants are usually seen a few kilometers from the main gate, and sometimes these giants are right at the main gate, to your amazement. We push deeper into the park and to the Tarangire River. This is where most animals hang around, especially during the dry seasons. We shall have our lunch at noon, a short rest and another game drive resumes after we are freshened up. We shall drive to Karatu in the evening for the night.

We shall leave the lodge and go for a short drive to Mto wa Mbu area, a small town outside Karatu in the Manyara region. We shall enjoy short cultural excursions. We shall visit the villages to experience the lives of the locals. We shall witness how they brew their local brew. We also will visit traditional houses of different tribes to get an insight to the lives of local Tanzanians. We shall also take a walk to see Banana and Coffee plantations in the area. You can also opt to take a walk to a waterfalls a few paces from the village or Bike for excursions.

We shall have an early breakfast at the lodge before we go for another drive to Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We shall check in at the Serengeti Naabi Gate before we start driving on the plains on the Serengeti National park towards Seronera Area. We shall have an afternoon game drive at the Serengeti. Here wildebeest herds are common, big cats are usually spotted here prowling. At around evening we head to the lodge to spend our first night at the Serengeti National Park.

After breakfast today we head for a full day game drive on the plains. We have the entire day today so the guide will carefully pick where we can game drive so as to maximize our experience. Lunch will be served in the afternoon, we shall rest and resume our game drive in the evening for an evening game drive.

We shall have breakfast in the morning then head for the last game drive in Serengeti National Park. Today we game drive here for a few hours before we start game driving en route as we leave the Serengeti Behind. We slowly approach the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where we shall spend the night.

After an early breakfast we will descend down the Ngorongoro Crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is almost 600 m deep, approximately 20 km wide and the massive caldera is home to an amazing variety of animals. On your game drive you have the possibility of seeing all different kinds of mammals ranging from the Big Five – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard – to Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles and mountain reedbucks. You might also see spotted hyenas, rare wild dogs and some of the more than 500 bird species of the area. After a picnic lunch in the crater and more driving, we shall leave the crater in the afternoon and drive to Lake Eyasi where we will spend the night.

Lake Eyasi will surely enhance your safari experience in Tanzania. Being different from all other destinations, we will get to experience the bush life of the Hadzabe and the Datoga people. These two tribes have remained unchanged for Generations. The hadzabe will demonstrate their hunting skills and dances, while the Datoga are famous Blacksmiths. We will spend time with these people before we leave Lake Eyasi heading to Arusha as our adventure has come to an end.

Today we drive you the airport. It will be sad to say goodbye after spending the last couple of days together. As we wave you goodbye we hope to see you again.
