BOOKINGS AND PAYMENTS

A deposit of 30% of the tour cost is required at the time of booking, with the balance due not later than 90 days before commencement of the safari tour. A 50% deposit is required if booking 10 weeks before an intended departure, with the balance to be settled 30 days prior to commencement of the tour.  Payment in full is required where bookings are made less than 30 days before the tour begins.

 

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

Cancellations are only effective upon Kibokoland Adventures’ receipt of written notification, signed by the guest.

In the event of cancellations received by Kibokoland Adventures 90 days or more prior to departure, the deposit will be refunded less the cost of expenses incurred. Cancellations received 89-61 days prior to departure are subject to a cancellation penalty of 50% of the total trip price.  Cancellations received 60 days or less prior to departure are subject to a cancellation penalty of 100% of the total trip price.

No trip refund is available should you fail to arrive for your safari or join it after departure or leave it prior to its completion. There will be no refunds from Kibokoland Adventures for any unused portions of your safari. It is therefore strongly recommended that you secure trip and cancellation insurance.

 

ITINERARY CHANGES

Any changes on the confirmed itinerary should be made in writing prior to the start of the tour.

Although every effort is made to adhere to schedules, routes, and accommodations, occasional changes may occur while on safari as dictated by changing conditions. Such conditions may be caused by seasonal rainfall on bush tracks, airfields, game areas, by game migrations from one region to another, accommodations overbookings, flight delays and schedule changes or other booking problems.

Kibokoland Adventures is not responsible for such external events or resulting itinerary changes. If a guest initiates any change to the safari itinerary, including accommodations, flights, services, etc., the guest is responsible for all expenses arising from that change. These additional expenses are the responsibility of the guest to pay for directly in Tanzania or interim destinations as applicable.

 

INSURANCE

It is a fundamental condition of booking that you are solely responsible to ensure that you carry the appropriate comprehensive travel and medical insurance to cover yourself as well as any dependents and travelling companions for the duration of your trip to Africa. In the case of any medical emergencies, Kibokoland Adventures will arrange for emergency medical evacuation to the hospital where your Medical Insurance will cover the associated medical expenses.

 

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

Every participant must be in a possession of a current passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of departure and should have sufficient blank pages for visas and immigration stamps. Obtaining a passport and travel visa is the responsibility of each participant.

Health regulations for some countries may require proof of inoculation and vaccination certificate which should be in your possession throughout your trip. Kibokoland Adventures strongly recommends that you consult with your personal physician. You may also visit CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) website at www.cdc.gov.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITY – LIMITATION of LIABILITY

Kibokoland Adventure Limited, its employees, shareholders, officials, directors, successors, agents and all affiliates (herein referred to as Kibokoland Adventures) acts only in the capacity as an agent for hotels, safari lodges, tented camps, restaurants, airlines, sightseeing and other pertinent, and does not own any of those and in no way shall be held liable in the event of failure by any person or company to render services to the participants, nor shall they be held liable for any negligent or willful act by any such person or company.

Kibokoland Adventures cannot be held responsible for any additional cost incurred by participants, apart from what is quoted in the itinerary, due to missed, canceled or delayed flight, and omissions beyond its control. All such expenses will have to be borne by the participants.

Kibokoland Adventures shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, without limitation to loss, injury, accident, damage, attack by animals, sickness, lack of appropriate medical facilities, weather, natural disasters, terrorism, force majeure, war, quarantine, theft or other criminal acts, death in connection with accommodation, transport, any defect in or failure of any vehicle, equipment, or instrument owned, operated or otherwise used by any of these suppliers or any other service beyond its control including but not limited to negligence or breach of contract of any third party.

Kibokoland Adventures assumes no responsibility for and cannot be held liable for any of the above. Kibokoland Adventures and its agents will act to their best to assist the participant in case of any danger or where help is needed. Kibokoland Adventures contract with the participants shall always be governed by the laws of the country in which the tour is operating.

Kibokoland Adventures reserves the rights to subcontract any, all or part of the services. Both parties reserve the right to decline, to accept any participant as the member of the tour, or to require any member to withdraw from the tour at any time, when such action is determined by an authorized representative of the company at that particular time to be in the interests of the health, safety and general welfare of the tour group or of the individual participant.

Safari Overview:

To catch the thrill of Tanzania safari it’s a must for all the travelers to experience the wilderness of Tanzania. No other country has a greater variety of wild animals, reptiles and birds in their own natural habitats.  Not only seeing the migration part of the 10 days trip, but will also have the great opportunity to visit Zanzibar Islands known as buy its popular name “Spice Island” Spice Island is a name got from back in the days when Zanzibar used to be the centre of spice market in East Africa. You will see the stone town(the historical town ) and also swim with the dolphins at the southern part of Zanzibar.

Arrival: We will meet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport depends with your flight time arrival and you will meet our office representative with your name on his hand and we will drive to Arusha city where your safari starts stay and overnight at the Lodge/Hotel (Bed & breakfast)

• Day 1

We will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha at 0800 and drive to the Londross Gate to obtain permits and clearance. Today you will trek to Forest Camp where you will have dinner and overnight (3-4 hours of trekking). (2,650 M) Meal Plan: {L, D}

• Day 2

Trek from Forest Camp to Shira 1 Camp, 4-5 hours of trekking, where you will have dinner and overnight. 3,610 M) Meal Plan: {B, L, D}

• Day 3

Today you have a 3-4 hour trek from Shira 1 to Shira 2 Camp where you will have dinner and overnight. (3,840 M) Meal Plan: {B, L, D}

• Day 4

From Shire 2 Camp, trek about 6 hours to Barranco Camp (3,950 M) for dinner and overnight. Meal Plan: {B, L, D}

• Day 5

Trek from Baranco Camp starting at about 8:30 AM to Karanga Valley,( 4,100 M, about 13,450 Ft.). You will arrive about 11:30 AM. Meal Plan: {B, L, D}

• Day 6

Today you will trek from Karanga Valley to Barafu Camp. You will have dinner and overnight at Barafu (4,550 M). Meal Plan: {B, L, D}

• Day 7

You will rise shortly after midnight to begin your final ascent to the top of Kilimanjaro. You should reach the summit by sunrise after about 4 hours and then descend to Mweka Camp 3,100 M (4 hours) for dinner and overnight. Meal Plan: {B, L, D}

• Day 8

Today it will be about 3-4 hours to reach the Mweka Gate where you can pick up your Summit Certificate before returning to Arusha. Meal Plan: {B,L}

• Day 1
